Name: Hairy Toed Harry (HTH) Birthday: 10th April 2001 Age: 6 Color: Blue Brindle Hairy Toed Harry came to us in August 2005 when we were at Bury St Edmunds. He had a very badly infected toe on his back foot, and was severely underweight. We took HTH to the vets where he was put on antibiotics, nothing worked and after 16 weeks the vets decided that his toe would have to be amputated. The vets did a very special operation where they managed to make Harry a small toe out of his original pad hence the nickname HTH. HTH is a very handsome blue brindle boy. He has a lovely personality, really loves people and will do nearly anything for a cuddle. He goes out with my 75 year old Mum and her friend to Pets at Home to do Meets and Greets and is a real star. HTH is very insecure in new situations and is easily frightened of loud noises such as thunder and on very windy days, needs lots of reassurance. Harry has one downfall, and that is his house training. He has the tendency to thingy his leg when the urge takes him. I am sure with a lot of understanding and patience someone could teach him to be clean, and he has so much to offer in return. For photos of Harry, please go to www.kamascave.com/Homeless/hth.htm

Thanks for all your messages of well wishes for Harry When Ann and her Mum came with Harry today they could see how happy Roxy and Tara were(spoilt) ;D,and Harry will be treated just the same, and they are all lucky because as i work in a kitchen they get to have all the chops etc which are left over! I know its only been a couple of hours since he arrived but i cant believe how relaxed and settled the 3 of them are! ;D

Sadly and unexpectantly my Sweet Boy Harry(11yrs old) had to be put to sleep,he fell/caught himself trying to get out the back door with Tara, took him to the vet who told us he had fractured his shoulder and also found a tumour, never expected this when I got up today .its a year march gone that we lost our Roxy-again with a tumour.Thankfully we still have our Tara who seems fit and well:-) Im so sad and upset,he was such a sweet sweet boy and never a bother to anyone.Love you Harry Boy xxxx

What a difficult time not just for your loss of Harry but what you feel that Tara is going through too. Two grieving souls together ... i hope the passage of time helps ease the pain for you both.

Thinking of you Karen. I met Harry a couple of times and he was lovely, so sorry to hear that he is no longer with us. We lost Mac a couple of months ago who was at Bury the same time as HTH. Maud was like Tara at first when Mac went, missing her sofa companion and feeling quite down but she has settled and is happier again now. Big hugs to Tara & hope you are both ok. Clare
