This sounds a rather 'loose' arrangement but apparently it's how things are done round here ...... we took a call yesterday from the organisers of The Moulton Country Show who confirmed we could have a stand/stall on 2 September 2012. Moulton is a lovely village not far from Spalding and the show has some really great attractions: tug of war, live bands, food stands, companion dog show, trade stands (including our friends Moulton Pet Stores) and then there will be Ann and her dogs and me and the Tombola! No doubt we'll take along other goodies too and as it's getting to the colder end of the year, we'll have dog scarves, jumpers, snoods, fleeces, blankets (pls check out Ann's new Taggie Blankets - they are FAB!) etc. It's a great day out and dogs are very welcome .... it'd be cool to have as many of our hounds out for the day and show non greyhound people just what good pets they make.

I've been a couple of times Lorraine and it's a really lovely show and held in a massive field with oak trees all around. Takes me back to my childhood really as it is truly a village event and this time it'll be even better because I can help man the stand and meet and greet people who want to help the dogs. Hopefully I'll be able to have my car at the stand aswell so Sally can take a rest in the back and catch some snoozin time!

A reminder to everyone that Ann will be at The Moulton Country Show this Sunday. We should all be set up by about 10am. The weather is forecast to be quite lovely (i.e. no rain) and there will be a dog show, horse show and there is usually a main arena with events, live music, a bbq and our friends, Nigel and Lorna, from Moulton Pet Stores will be having a big stall. Should be a lovely day out. Moulton is just off the A151 about 3 miles from Spalding so if you are in the area and would enjoy Lincolnshire local life and a village fete/show atmosphere then come along and join us.

Sorry we didn't get to Moulton ..........Still sorting the dreaded bungalow, in desperation have now ordered a SKIP!!!!!!!!!!! Last week Lou Lou escaped from the dreaded ..........tells you something I think. Poor Basil aka 'The Beast' stood out in the lashing rain because he was terrified of one of the cupboards, in the dreaded place! Only 2weeks to go ............

It was a really great day out .... Eddie from kennels came with us and given that he's 10 years old and spent the last 7 of those living in a kennel he was so well behaved. He was good with children, dogs of all sizes, coped with loud music and tractor noise and enjoyed a bit of Ann's icecream, smoked salmon and cheese bagel, sausage and schmaco! Not exactly the most appropriate food for a greyhound but every now and then they all deserve to be spoiled and Eddie loved every moment of it. We had our tombola and raised just under £100 which was fantastic and, best of all, the people of South Holland were mad about greyhounds and even Ann said this is the best feedback and interest she has seen in a long while and three lots of people have expressed serious interest in rehoming a hound. The weather was kind to us and we all had a lot of fun albeit another long day. Mary/Margaret .... a skip sounds an excellent way to go. Sometimes it's just too much to try and clear someone's home when you're already filled to the rafters and I'm sure all of us have collected stuff which is neither use nor ornament which is destined for disposal inthe hands of others. As for Basil The Beast ..... a cupboard of any kind is a scary thing if it doesn't have hound treats inside!
