Wonderful news this morning and we've a great weekend ahead of ourselves .... our two beautiful Galgo have started their very long journey to Kama's Cave from Spain!!! Hurrah! Our Dutch friends, Sandy and Marjoleine, of Galgo Love Foundation have begun the long journey to get Imogen and Hudson transported from Spain in the early hours of this morning. Imogen and Hudson should arrive in Holland tonight. In the early hours tomorrow, we will drive to France to meet Sandy and Marjoleine who will have driven from Holland to France where Imogen and Hudson will be passed to me for the final leg of the journey to Kamas Cave and to a warm kennel bed and treats and lots and lots of love! We are so excited and will keep you posted as we go .... Ann and the Dogs

I lost my lovely boy Eddie this week. But it is wonderful that one of these poor galgoes has got their first sponsor.

Hi Marian, yes I read about your Eddie and so sorry to hear your sad loss aswell. My Monty was 15 1/2 so he has had a really wonderful life, but even so we had to make the decision and it was so hard as he was trying so hard to live!! It is wonderful that these 2 are coming over and would so love to see them, but I know what I am, I have 6 other dogs, 3 greyhounds, 2 whippets and a dachshund, I will definately want one!! Hope you are well and love to hear back. Best wishes janice x

It appears that last week was not a good one for the dogs as we had to put our lovely old chap Chockie to sleep. His legs were not the best but for a big boy of 12 and a half he walked well with help from Rimadyl but an unfortunate collision in the house with one of our other dogs resulted in a complex fracture to his right knee. We are now back to 5. There isn't one of the eight dogs we have lost over the years that gave us any trouble but heartache yes and Chockie was no exception.
