Ann and I will be at Nottingham with our stand this year. We will have the lovely handknit jumpers and hound hats made by the S&D Bookmaker ladies (that's Kay Arnold and her knutters), hand made collars by Sandy Bakker, hand knits for hounds (which include a cropped jumper no less!) and humans by my Aunt, our Kama's Cave postcards and (because I now have my safety certificate) some lovely organic greyhound soaps in varying fragrances/essential oils. Come along and see us if you are there.

Amazingly, George got his forever home today. George had been walked round the show by several people today and adopted himself to almost every person he met. He was an utter star. Rachel (Jamesie's Mum) took George in the show ring for hounds looking for homes and ...... he found his new owner. Homechecks confirmed by the RGT and paperwork completed and George was headed off to Leicester. Not a glance back did he make when he left Ann (in tears with happiness for George) as he trotted alongside his new lady owner and greyhound bitch companion. Well done George and thank you Rachel for helping to make it all happen for him. In addition we raised over £500 and thank you to all the ladies who knit as jumpers and hats sold like hot cakes. A fab day all round!!

We had the most fantastic day at GGG. It is the first time we've been and it won't be the last! Never seen so many greyhounds together, it was fantastic, lovely atmosphere and great weather too George was the star of the show and got his just rewards with a HOME! Judging: Sally in the ring Sally having a rest on the racecourse John with Sally and George on the racecourse Me with Sally and George... Parade of RGT dogs ready for re-homing with KC George on the right. Rachel told everyone about gorgeous George and it worked - he got his forever home! Sally and John with author Andrew Dilger and the star of his book Dash (great read if you like a good book!)

Great pictures Lorraine .... still can't quite believe George got his new home. It all happened so quickly and so many people involved to make it all happen but, really, it started with George going in to the ring. It had always been planned that Ann or I would take George in the ring but you know how it is running the stall and time just slips by. But, to our rescue came Rachel (Jamesie's Mum) and she knows a bit about 'showing' and 'talking' so she was clearly the very best person to help George. And, by George, she did it!

Looks like everyone had a great day, including Sally. What a little star she is, thanks to her Mum and Dad
