Sally astounded us last night We had some friends round to play darts and last time they came round, she growled at one person, barked at another and spent most of the evening shaking. Last night, she stayed in her corner and didn't venture to meet anyone BUT she spent alot of the evening roaching, so she couldn't have been stressed about it! ;D Good girl! ;D

Oh, Lorraine .... how could anyone think badly of Sally. She's one of a kind and albeit I've not known her long, it seems she's come on leaps and bounds since you and John have invested your time and love in her .... what I'm saying is that I reckon Sally knows this and might well be a bit cute and using it to her advantage - cheeky little tiger! X

Don't worry ladies - I am forever calling her 'cheeky' ...maybe I should change her name... Who'd have known that barking mad dog would have so much 'personality' ! ;D

She's one fit dog that's for sure and you'd never believe she was a veteran. As for personality ... she has it in spades and certainly showed us all a few tricks in the menage!

An update of Sally via face-book 25th October 2011
Sally is fantastic and we love her to bits! She played with a cuddly toy in the garden today - the most she has ever played since she came here. I just threw 'turtle' for her a few times and she chased and ran about like mad - it was FANTASTIC to see!

Today turtle hit Sally on the head I think I've got to practice my throwing a bit I don't think Sally likes turtle anymore... Sally has been upto mischief... The other lunchtime she was enjoying laying in the sunshine in the garden so I left her to it and ate my sandwiches indoors. I began to think that she was unusually quiet so went to have a look.. She was busy digging up an area of lawn We now have 3 areas that we have put planks of wood and buckets over top of to discourage her Next day I took this photo - maybe she was just digging a bed for herself !?! Just minutes ago, my husband John took this photo, which I think you'll all like! ;D ;D ;D She had been using the doggie as a pillow before John woke her up!

That makes perfect sense Sharon because all 3 parts of the garden that she's dug up are all areas where she likes to lay!

Same as Tara, and when she gets fed up with the area ,she will just find a new spot ,you just have to love them don't you Our garden is a unique as it has a race track and lots of pot holes , you take your life in your own hands when you go into our garden ,because when Charlie is running around with Lucy ,he just does not know how to stop before crashing into you bless him !!!

I can picture the scene and it's made me smile! Our garden is looking rather different to what it did - lots of brown wee patches, churned up corners from her coming to a sliding stop from 100mph and of course the holes ;D We're getting used to it now!

Just a little update of Sally. Most of you will have read the newsletter so you know that she had a great Christmas with us with lots of new toys to play with. Here's a few photos of her in the snow. She hated going out when it was snowing but the next morning she took me by surprise and done a big leap when she stepped out of the door into the snow for walkies! She had great fun that day but none of us have been enjoying it much since , now that it has become frozen and icy. Sally continues to make us smile every day - for instance today I had just done the hoovering and she had stayed in her crate quietly so when I'd finished I gave her a biscuit. She nearly always takes food to the fleece rug which we encourage her to do, so that we can just shake or wash it clean, as she can be a messy eater but no! This time she came out of the crate and chews it very messily over the carpet that I'd just hoovered!

How delightful to read about Sally's antics Lorraine. I especially enjoyed the post hoovering biscuit story. That's exactly what Flash would have done too.
How long did Sally remain seated in the snow?

We are just back home from having our first ever holiday with Sally. We had our doubts as to how she'd cope with it all but she was a STAR! She coped with all the travelling, walking, the moors, the beach, the towns, living in a new place for a week and last but not least - a ride on a steam train! She is an amazing dog and we are soooo proud of her At the Humber Bridge on the way up... Decided to wake us up and have a sleep UNDER our bed! On the moors. She wanted to chase the grouse At Filey Brigg At Levisham station With Sir Nigel Gresley - apparently a very famous train! Asleep in the car In Goathland, Heartbeat village. On the steam train... We met up with Rachel, Tony, ex-KC dog Jamesie and whippet Evie. Here are the 3 dogs - small, medium and large! ;D and the humans got in the pictures too! ...
