Sally is off to the vets tomorrow to have her teeth done as she has trouble with biscuits and i am sure she probably has a couple of sore teeth so going to be checked out.
Lorraine came over a while back and spent loads and loads of time with Sally and she began to come out of herself a little bit.
she has got less and less nervous since she has been here there was a time when she was frightened of the watering can and the paddock and everything but now she seems to take most things in her stride.

Sally had a visitor today and was a good girl and enjoyed herself.
Lorraine came over today to visit the dogs and to see her special girl Sally who was on her best behaviour and went out for a walk in the village with Lorraine and then after a short rest and drink came out into the paddock and had a play.
Sally would like to say Thank You Lorraine

Sally was a VERY good girl. What a different dog since I last saw her in February, a real credit to the firm but very fair and kind treatment Ann and Paul give her day in-day out. The walk into the village was lovely, she was calm but alert. We passed one noisy dog in a garden, but she only made a little noise (didn't make it as far as a bark or growl) and calmly walked on. Back in the paddock later on, she had a trot round and then kept favouring the area near the door to get back to the kennel and safety, but I did manage to get near her and give her a cuddle and we had a little run round the paddock together too, with Sally actually wagging her tail and looking quite happy! ;D A very beautiful dog with so much joy to give someone, but still in need of so much help with her socialising problems. Keep up the good work Sally, you're getting there! Sally looking a bit scared, think she didn't like my camera with its big lens Scared? Who? Me? Never? I'm very happy! ..... I'm a bit tired now, can I go and lay down?

I spent some time with this young girlie last week. She is a delicate little flower who is very nervous of many things. Ann brought her out for some new pix, she strained on the lead to stay away from me, but I don't give up that easily!!!! Over the next 10 minutes... To start with I laid down on the paddock, not looking at her at all - showing her that I was no threat. Over a few minutes the lead went a bit loose. Slowly, still not looking at her I sat up and again, she stayed nearby. I reached up and stroked her shoulder and slowly started to look at her, she moved closer and I was able to rub her belly. At one point I stopped...she pawed my leg asking for more fuss!!!!! She wandered off for a while then I tapped at the floor and she made her way back to me for some more fuss!! and wagged her tail Ann & Paul were quite surprised by how well she had done, as she had never really seen me before other than for her first pix. Lorraine has also built up a bond with her. Do not overlook this wee girlie. She will need time to learn to trust, but she definitely has it in her to be loved and be loving, but you may not see this on first inspection. Alie

Alie, I'm so pleased that you spent some time with Sally and that she acted positively towards you. She has such a long way to go but as you say, I'm sure there is a very loving dog trapped away inside her head that just needs help to get out. She is so lovely to take on a walk, which I've now done twice, once round the village and also at a village fete, where she met all sorts of dogs and people and didn't bat an eyelid. I wish I had the time to devote to her...

Sally is still improving and actually chose to come to see me in the paddock yesterday, although that was after a while of being or at least acting scared of me. She did bark but we had tail wagging and games too. She really showed herself off - wow can she go fast when she feels like it! I didn't know she had it in her! Here's some photos when she was going a bit more sedately! Promise I'll come back and see you soon Sally.

Glad you caught her running about Alie. She does seem to love a good run in the paddock and I see her tail is up too (not the usual clamped down style ). Lovely!

I took Ann and Sally for a trip to Holbeach today. We had a good walk round the park and through the town. We met Lisa and Kirsty which was great. Kirsty was a Kamas Cave dog and she looked fantastic today - she's obviously flourishing in her forever home! Sally trembled alot of the time but coped with it all. Ann seemed to cope OK as well! ;D I'll be back soon Sally to take you out again, in the meantime have a great Christmas.

Sally had loads of excitement to cope with today! ;D Firstly she had a run in the paddock, chasing me! Secondly, we had a walk up the lane opposite the kennels. Thirdly, she came in the car with me, all on her own ( a little daunting for both of us - me never having taken a dog for a drive on my own before!) and we went to Crowland for a short walk around the park. It was a fact finding mission for both of us. I enjoyed it ... I hope she did too See you soon Sally

Sally and I took another step together into the unknown today ... she came to Downham Market to see my home and spend the day with me! She travelled well in her box and had a look round the garden on arrival, then it was off to say hello to the parents in law up the road. We then walked into town and went to my workplace where she trembled a bit and refused any treats (a sure sign she wasn't too happy). Then onto my parents place for 10 mins. Not keen on my dads attempts to say hello to begin with but he soon won her over and she didn't seem too keen on leaving him! ;D Back to my house and we had our lunch. Much to my delight and Ann's surprise, she gulped her food down - not too stressed then... After dinner a quick loo break in the garden before I sat on the bed and tried to ignore her and let her settle. She wasn't coping bad at all but was constantly walking about, so I sat on the floor so that she could see me if she chose to lay down in her box. Much to my surprise and delight, she chose to come and lay down next to me!!!! ;D ;D ;D She eventually chilled out enough to close her eyes too A while later we had a play in the garden which we both enjoyed and then, all too soon, it was time to head back to Ann's. What a lovely day - thank you Sally, you are a star! I'm delighted that you settled so well. See you very very soon! I tried a photo of us together with my camera on auto! and a couple in the garden ...

Unbeknown to many of you, Sally came to stay the weekend with my husband and I a few weeks ago. She settled in well and we loved having her. After more thought we decided to have her to stay over Easter, this time for 3 nights. She settled even quicker this time, obviously remembering our home and us, and on the whole everything went really well. We have decided to give Sally a home ;D ;D ;D We are first time dog owners and she is not the most straight forward dog, but we hope we can get through it together and are determined to give it a big big try! We have holidays away already booked, so will not be bringing her home for good until July. I hope to have loads of good news to tell you then

Sally had me in tears today , but don't worry because it was tears of joy! I walked past her kennel and she barked at me, but when she was let out of her kennel she went mad! Bouncing, jumping up, tail wagging - what a welcome for me! ;D I never thought she was capable of such emotion - I hope it is a sign of things to come. We had a quick drive up to Crowland and a walk by the river. Still not over happy in the car but didn't take long to settle and sit down and I think she enjoyed the walk.

Lorraine sent her a postcard from holiday as well which is up in her kennel for her to see.
