Happy Gothca Day to my boy Jamsie!!..well it was officially yesterday went to meet him and decide he was the one and then we had to wair until the end of Jan 2012 for him to come to the house but in our hearts he was ours from the third!!!..... I cannot believe he has been here a year!... and what a lovely year it has been .He has made us smile everyday, made us new 'friends' and made some of his own doggy ones. He has been everywhere with us and has never once let us down but has behaved impeccably. We were soon able to not use his muzzle and we have been able to let him off. so all the milestones we wanted to achieve have been ticked. He still has his own inbuilt alarm clock which goes off at 7.30am everymorning so I am always up nice and early -thats a good thing!...and he goes to bed at 9.30pm and if we dont get him out for his nightly wee before he goes to bed forget it!!....he wont budge and will happily sleep with a full bladder naughty boy. He has learnt to move up on the sofa if we want to sit down -when we first got him we had to put his house collar on as a signal he was to move - didnt have to pull him -just put it on!...He has learnt that little fluffy things are dogs and not to be eaten and will happily meet them on walks or go for walks with them. Oh what else.....oh yes he loves Salmon and it is not the same as Tuna fish!!! but he knows that we always leave him a bit in the foil so Salmon night for tea he is a pest waiting at the door to the kitchen for his bit whilst we have tea.. He can do stairs in the house-but only going down!....he talks when he is excited and tells you to hurry up if he sees the harness for the car - loves going out in the car, he jumps for joy with little bunny hops all four feet off the ground when he is happy. When he first came he was quite male oreintated but now its his mum who he listens to!!- quite right too!!.. I am sure there is more but I really dont want to bore you all with how wonderful he is!!...Xxx.

You cannot bore us with your tales of the lovely Jamesie Cannot believe that it is a year gone by. You are soooo lucky with his built in alarm clock - Sally's alarm clock is all over the place and can be anything after 4am, but generally 5.30-6am! Cheeky madam, she is! ;D

Agree with Lorraine - always good to read about your boy.
Hmm. Alarm clocks. Our 2 like to play and dance like fruit cakes from as early as 5.30am 7 days a week. They do not appreciate that ma and pa may like a lie in!
Please keep posting stories about Jamesie.

Hello ladies, I wonder what their getting up times were in the kennels with such early alarm clocks!..think I got the better deal with Jamises 7.30am start.!... How on earth do Ann and Paul manage with all that lot having different clocks in their heads. Today was a huge milestone with Jamise!!..... I let him off on my own!!.....oh gosh he just got in the field with the snow and was spinning round and round on his lead so I checked for small dogs and cats and took the plunge and let him off - he just ran - in a straight line!! gulp to the other end of the huge field and I m thinking omg this is it Ill never see him again Ill never forgive my self, and he stopped cocked his leg and then ran straight back to me in a straight line!.... phew, this is the fist time he has done two straight lines , its normally a circle and the first time without hubby to stand at the other end of the field. He then trotted after me and by my side like a proper pet dog... love him. we then went for a lovely walk up the lanes for a good couple of hours so he has snoozed all day. I have to say that little old girl evie matched him stride for stride. Im so proud of her fit girl. Rx

Oh wow Rach. I feel hot under the collar imagining your heart racing as he tore off in a straight line. I remember trying our first boy, Flash, out on a beach in Yorkshire. We each had a pocket full of gravy bones. He set off and ran in an oval loop several times before coming back for his treat. It is wonderful to see them run freely but heart stopping for us.

Oh goodness yes jackie it is scary!... I did the brave thing and ran the other way thinking 'please follow please follow' and of course he did! he is a good boy but it is scary. We went on a hige walk today and my freind had hers two collies off pottering as it was quite safe and enclosed all along the paths and I know he would enjoy being off but Im not ready yet unless its in our field where I can at least see all the boundaries!...I carry peanut butter sandwiches for him as they are his fave!. A good idea to let him off on a beach at least the water stops him on one side and the cliffs the other!..Rx

Hi Mary, yes it is lovely to be able to see him run full pelt across the field!. He loves the snow and has had a run this morning but he is funny. he did a huge figure of eight and few more circles then just goes and stands at the gate!!.... as if to say righto had me run come on now lets go and explore. are you going to go Snetterton, the one Lorrainne is organising? that will be safe there. He is so funny we adore him. I love that he squeaks as he runs!!.. Rx

Unfortunately Rachel we will not be going to Snetterton this time. Amy isn't up to it , she was really poorly over the new year, and although she is bright in herself she gets very tired. We have some great pictures and memories of the last couple of times we went to Snetterton.

Blimey Im still trying to get Jamise registered with the Kennel Club!..- nearly there I think!!!.. the process has been a long one!. I first tried the kennel club and they said he needed to be registered in my name and they also needed an extended pedigree showing I am the owner as well. SO that meant contacting the Irish coursing club where he was originally registered and they then sent out a form for me to sign and for the other three joint previous owners to sign him over to me. They took a while to get that back anyway I have now paid for him to be transfered to my name at the Irish coursing club and now I am waiting for the extended pedigree to arrive. I hope it shows me as the owner!.. then I send that off to the Kennel Club and then....well we shall see I am sure Im still going to come across something I have missed...to be continued....

Sounds like quite a process, but I am sure Jamsie is worth all the hassle. I expect it's a case of dotting every I and crossing every T....plus crossing fingers and paws. Thank you for Amy's good wishes, at the moment she is doing really well Back to the Vets on thursday, after 3weeks of antibiotics and this week without them.....we will see what he says, but her neck hasn't swollen up again.
